In anticipation of some bargain thrifting and yard sale hopping this weekend I thought I'd share thrift store vigenttes for this Friday's thrift porn.
I love Asian designs, the wooden Japanese doll was added to my collection, I negotiated her down from $5 to $1. See her at home.
A beautiful home made piece. Too floral for me, I hope I find more cat art that's more bright and graphic like the one in this post.
Here's some thrift porn. for the cuckoo clock lovers.
A beautiful wispy design on a plate I managed to resist.
I like the bright colors against the tan background and how the piece is already framed.
I seriously considered both of these purchases but they were too unnecessary. As neat as the shot glasses were- how many does a girl need? If more than 16 people are taking a shot at once in my house that's bad news. Bad news.
A piece to make you think. Sepia photographs trimmed and glued together. Who's memories are these? How did it end up in the thrift store?
I'm on a strict budget this weekend, I want to find thrift and yard sale goodies at the lowest prices. As always, I'll bring my camera so I can remember the neat stuff I leave behind.
I so love to thrift. I like to find treasures for myself and I like to find things that I can alter for a new purpose. Sometimes, I buy something because I just can't leave it and then sell it to someone else that has room for it. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pieces like the photo collage are always so touching for me. I can't imagine throwing it away.
Happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteJodi- I'm often tempted to do the same thing; buy now, sell later. But I have to sell the stuff in the house before I continue doing that...ha!
