Wardrobe Malfunction Prevention

100% Thrifted Outfit & Sexy Sea Horse Hooks

Behind my door is what I call my "Changing Station". Every night before I go to sleep I pick out my entire outfit for the next day. Each component is tried on to ensure confidence and prevent wardrobe malfunction before the entire ensemble is neatly hung behind my bedroom door.

This is a huge time saver. I can be out the door 10 minutes after waking up with this kind of preperation, and with my new desperate snooze-hitting obession every second counts. Yet this isn't merely a time saver. There's something meditative about picking out the next day's outfit. It's an inspiring ritual, a reminder that tomorrow is a fresh new day with endless possibilities. Maybe, just maybe, some things will get done. It's another chance to do things right. (Maybe. Hopefully.)

  1. I'm so envious of your ability to be so organized. I wake up early and do my version of meditation then. I hate to rush in the morning and I can only decide what to wear as I get dressed.

  2. I have to confess I only maintain a few organized rituals. Right now EVERY SURFACE except for my desk in my bedroom is cluttered TO THE BRIM with Stuff...so things ain't going right quite yet...

  3. I am fortunate in that my job requires a uniform, so getting dressed takes no thought at all.

The downside of course is that getting dressed is also no fun at all. I try to make up for that on the weekends.

  4. I love it when I plan what to wear the night before! It really does make a difference. It doesn't happen as often as I should probably make it, but maybe I should turn that around. P.S. Your seahorse hooks are awesome.
