This weekend my friend Fenna and hit up all of my favorite thrift stores in St. Augustine. I was highly selective and put many vintage pretties back, but still ended up with more than I intended...
I really like this clock and paisley wallpaper I found for .50 cents each. I might use them to line the back of shelves or other crafts. The clocks remind me of Alice in Wonderland somehow.
I've never bought candles or scented-type things from the thrift store but these soy ones smell amazing and the colors are very vibrant. I'm going to send some out to whoever wins my Vintage Halloween Giveaway
I tried and tried to resist both "The Creative Family Workshop" and the interesting colorful art plaque next to it. Then I found out the books were half off just bit the bullet. They were $1.50 each. The unique art was $2.00.

ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I'm a new follower, hope you can follow me back!
ReplyDeleteI love the clock paper. I can think of so many fun uses for it. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have passed up the books either. I remember buying that Tina Turner album when it first came out!
ReplyDeleteUrban Chipmunk! I love it! I cannot believe that I never had that album!
ReplyDeleteI recently stocked up on a bunch of early 60's albums (Steve & Eydie, the Tijuana Brass, etc.) since I had just purchased a new but old-looking Crosley record player. Can't beat a buck per album, and they're about the only thing that the thrift stores around here don't gouge you on. Love the candles--this is my favorite time of year candle-wise since I love all the pumpkin and cedar smells.
ReplyDeleteA fun selection! I like the look of the glasses, and that paper is really cool!
ReplyDeleteThose books are great for their spines alone! Great finds :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh I love all of your great finds!! The wallpaper is darling, and those candles... CUTE!

I love the green glasses. I have some similar and I love them. I don't think I have many matching glasses which I think is part of the fun of collecting vintage kitchenware.
ReplyDeleteGreat fines.
ReplyDeleteI'd say you definitely scored here.
ReplyDelete=)
PRINCE!!!! That's all I've got to say about that....LOL
ReplyDeleteThose scented leaves and pine cones you found are super cute!!
ReplyDeleteThe chipmunks did a punk album? That is hilarious. I remember having a pound puppy album when I was really little too.
You found a lot of great stuff!
What a score! Love the clock wallpaper! :-)
ReplyDeleteWill you be my best friend?
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love the soy melts!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Just today I thrifted the entire set of the Creative Family Workshop at the Honolulu Salvation Army! I didn't need it and have no room, but couldn't resist. 24 volumes at $1.00 a volume, can't go wrong. I think if there would have only been a few books, I might have passed, but something about the ENTIRE complete set spoke to me! Very Loudly!
