Of course, I uncovered a smattering of other vintage finds. Some will be revealed in more detail after some cleaning and fresh coats of paint.
I found some lovely books- and even some book art. All are destined for my antique store booth; after I peek through 'em...
I wish my camera accurately captured the beauty and depth of this large 70s wall hanging. There's a layer of gauze that makes the whole piece mimic diffused light. It's like a window view of a real forest.
I've never seen anything like these antique conversation cards. I got all three for 50 cents. The price was tragically scribed on the front of the box with sharpee.

ReplyDeletecool cabinet. thrift shops are so great for furniture - some of my favourite furniture pieces have been thrifted. they have so much character compared to particle board, utilitarian cheap stuff! the books and cards are amazing too.

ReplyDeleteGreat piece, can't believe that price, wow! My mom had one it has two sliding glass panels, she was going to leave it when she sold her house... it's mine now- love it.
ReplyDeleteJen: I can see where mine was supposed to have sliding glass panels in the front. Mine has some damage to be sure (faux wood laminate coming off the pine in places) - but it was $15! Can't argue with that price!
