Skincare Giveaway: 100% Pure Organic and Vegan Cosmetics


At the start of last month I promised I'd be writing more about thrifty and 100% natural skincare. I've been experimenting with it all year. I did a No Soap Challenge, I've made homemade concoctions, and I've researched 100% natural products. My favorite right now is 100% pure.

Their ingredients are 100% vegan and organic and they work better than any chemical laden cosmetics I've ever tried. (Even the fancy, expensive stuff!) The PR folks at 100% Pure kindly sent me honey almond nourishing body cream, tinted moisturizer, ultra lengthening mascara, and pot rouge to try (I hate blush so I use it as lipbalm; works beautifully and tastes good!)

Each product smells heavenly; I guess it's because the cosmetics are fruit-pigmented. Even the mascara smells like a grape jolly rancher! You only need a small amount for each of their products to be effective. The honey almond body cream is creamy and extremely moisturizing without leaving an oily residue. It smells orgasmic. (You may be half tempted to eat it with a spoon.) My favorite product is their honey coconut milk conditioner. It smells like a coconut cookie and it's perfect for dry, long, curly hair like mine. I highly recommend this for anyone with dry hair.

I must admit... Most days I cleanse with my own simple concoctions which I'll write about more soon (Except for the ultimate conditioner) and wear no make-up, BUT if you want to go 100% natural without being a hippie and making your own stuff like me, 100% Pure is the way to go! I'm literally going to order some goodies from them right now...

    I would love to try the honey coconut milk conditioner! My hair is naturally curly and tends to be very dry, so that product sounds like it would work wonders on it.

    The items by this company aren't 100% Vegan but 100% Vegetarian :)

    They contain animal products. For instance, honey isn't vegan. If someone is allergic to milk, some items from this company have milk proteins, etc.

    I know it doesn't matter to some, but there is a BIG difference between Vegetarian and Vegan. And for those with allergies (or ethical reasons) it's an even bigger deal. I'm sure the company wouldn't want anyone to misunderstand their product was something it is not.

    The products do sound yummy!
