The bright red letters were from Carla's Southern Crossing Antique Mall booth. I'm going to install the huge red-orange letters in my space.
No one will ever miss what number my booth is again! I love the texture and saturated color on these numbers.
Another Southern Crossing find was this cute little wooden robot. I'm going to sell him but it's tempting to keep him for my personal collection.
I'm selling him for $9.00. I love the painting of gears on his back and the bright red color.
The wooden carved deer head was a lucky score, he's in perfect condition without any chips on those delicate antlers. I'm selling the buck head for $12.00 and the Ale "Man Cave" sign for $8.00.
The medium sized all-wood wagon is going to look too sexy in my Southern Crossing Antique Mall space. I'm selling it for $10.00 and the groovy bowling ball bag for $15.00.
I'm selling this large owl piece for $8.00. I may pain the frame a fun color but I'm leaving it alone for now. It's 21.5 inches tall and 16 inches wide.
I resisted many pretty vintage cups but couldn't leave these two behind. I love the contrast of turquoise and dark blue, two of my favorite colors.
The speckled white reminds me of starry night sky in the country and the cups just bring back nostalgia from my science nerd days. They remind me of camping and looking at celestial wonders through huge telescopes.
I'm selling the cups for $7.00 and the studios owl for $5.00.
I satisfied my cup fetish again with these too-cool clear globe cup set.
I like these for drinking tea so you can see the pretty color of the herbal infusion.
This novelty bar clock is a little rough, but it still works. So perfect for a kitchen, home bar, or man cave. You can flip the hanging tab from "open" to "Closed". I'm letting it go for $10.00.
This mod-style magazine rack is gorgeous in its gold finish and atomic styling. I'm selling it for $15.00.
Even Yuko can't take her eyes off this gorgeous painting! I was so stunned to find this amid piles of junk at the flea market. The frame is very shabby, put the dramatic painting of a camp scene in resplendent nature is pristine I'm selling the painting for $15.00.
I'm off to work on tagging all this merchandise and getting it cleaned up for Southern Crossing Antique Mall. After Friday's one year freelancer check-in I can't stop working! Super inspired. And by the way...
What did you find this weekend?

Man,I love everything you bought. If I lived closer to you,I'd be broke because it seems like every week you have something I want for myself or that would be perfect for someone else.
ReplyDeleteThank ya! Since you like the finds it gives me hope that they'll soon ;)
DeleteWow, your booth is going to stand out with those numbers for sure! Great idea. How do you do with the bowling bags? I see them a lot, but am unsure if people would buy them. I think they would make an awesome purse or overnight bag if they were in good shape, but I don't know if that is just me.
ReplyDeleteI often get requests for them, but I got stuck with the last one I bought. This is only the second one I've purchased so we'll see how it does.
DeleteHey Hey!! I so love those numbers!! =) And I've got more to sell if anyone's interested!! (self plug-in there) They were actually sold to me as "Pit Stop" numbers from a race track. I stacked and packed my space so tightly Saturday I'm taking a few days off to let it breathe! I recently sold a fab blue bowling bag for a fellow shopper looking for a costume prop. The one you have might go quickly!!
ReplyDeleteYour booth looked amazing. I wanted to get the small numbers too but couldn't find the right ones. I hope my bag will go soon too. We'll see...
DeleteHow much are those numbers, Carla G!? I love them! How many do you have? I'm in Canada, so they'd have to be shipped, but if they're cheap enough then I'd buy 'em! Love that deer head too, Van (and you should be charging $20 for that guy, easily). Nice finds indeed. :)
DeleteI'm putting it in the shop where I bet no one would pay $20 for it, but I'll try it on Craigslist and online at that price and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!
DeleteHey Vintage Cabin...thanks so much for the compliments on the numbers. I'm not sure of the exact count but can let you know Thursday afternoon. I am making a delivery Thursday morning. Maybe there will be some left...that's if Van doesn't buy me out. =)
DeleteI love that atomic style rack and the deer head!
ReplyDeleteMe too, lucky scores from the same vendor. Along with the large painting on velvet.
DeleteI think those numbers are going to look awesome in your booth. That robot is a mighty handsome fellow. ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to install the numbers today. :D Agreed on the robot.
DeleteVan,
ReplyDeleteThose owls look so MAD! 8-) And the numbers are inspired!
I've always thought that about that owl print, too! If the frame was painted bright orange it would make nice Halloween decor.
DeleteThat same owl print was in our Goodwill last month plus it was in the preview for a Hollywood movie earlier this year (I think the movie was "Jeff, Who Lives at Home"). I'm nutz for black velvets too. This weekend I scored some groovy vintage ethnic dolls (including a Hawaiian hula girl that I already sold to a woman in Norway) (the wack gypsy dolls haven't sold yet); antique boot bench; avocado green trash can; two vintage Tonka trucks; swag lamp; avocado green kitchen ceiling lamp; vintage Luxo clamp-on desk lamp; nifty '50's Tupperware chrome wire donkey w/ salt/pepper saddle bags... not so much, but good stuff. Today, on the way back from court, I scored three kachina plaques dated 1970 and eight anonymous folk art paintings (pretty dang cool Americana scenes of Civil War soldiers, Conestoga wagons crossing prairie, old-time mustachio-ed telephone linesman...). PLUS! I took your listing advice from last week, stole your "sunshine yellow" phrase, and sold a vintage "sunshine yellow" vinyl 'n' chrome Costco step-stool mega-quick. Thanks! Your blog is great. Really.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that listing advice helped you make some sales! You've been scoring and selling! I'm scrolling through your eBay store for motivation and inspiration.
Deletegreat finds! LOVE those red numbers! They'll be great on your booth.
ReplyDeleteI love them too, quite tempted to go back and buy more to sell and have around the house. They're gorgeous.
DeleteOMG. I want it all. Especially the bowling ball bag and the 'ale' sign!
ReplyDeleteThey're for sale ;) Could hold them for you. Thanks for the kind words as always Steph!
DeleteThat Yuko is SO adorable--my cats want NOTHING to do with anything I bring in!!
ReplyDeleteYuko must thoroughly explore everything that enters her domain! She's a fun and quirky cat to have around.
DeleteI have lots and lots of vintage paint-by-numbers but recently just bought my first vintage velvet. Sometimes it's hard to know if the velvets are old since they're still being produced in large numbers. You really found some awesome stuff!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they were still being produced in large numbers! I'm drawn to their dramatic lighting and poses even though a lot of my friends and family find them tacky as hell.
DeleteHaha, honestly there is always at least ONE important thing out of whack in my life. If the house appears spotless and organized the mess is hidden in my car or closet. If business is positively thriving my house is thoroughly trashed.
ReplyDeleteI'm a natural workaholic that likes to keep busy even when chilling with friends so that helps. And I set a timer to keep myself working fast. You get used to cleaning/photographing/blogging/listing quickly when you incorporate it in your life every day as well.
Wow! Those are indeed a great finds. I love the globe cup set. It looks really perfect collection item. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteElle @ www.ecarport.com.au/
Thanks!
DeleteWhat I love about these posts is that you seem to be as eclectic as I am when it comes to our hauls. Sure certain things we gravitate to, but its always fun to see what goodies you've found! BTW I think those "globe" mugs were made by Nescafé in the 70s, I don't know if they were a giveaway or gift with purchase but they were abundant in every home I was in back then! As always, I'm chromed by Yuko! XXX Jet
ReplyDeleteumm not "chromed" (I mean like eww imagine being immersed in chrome?) I meant "charmed", sorry have neuropathy in my left hand and keep making typos! XXX J
